I flew Virgin and Jetstar a few times because Garuda were always around the $950+ price. I stay for a month so could never get the super cheap specials. My last two flights booked with Garuda (from Sydney) have been $730 and $690 return. Considering I've always paid around $600 for the other two, I'm happy to pay a little extra and go Garuda.
