Correct info is found in the ICON site of Australian Quarantine.
A traveller may bring up to 6 flasks without documentation, over that needs an Import Permit.
The flasks must be fully labelled with the Latin name of the species or hybrid.
They will be inspected on arrival.
The exporter should have an Indonesian Export Permit (Ijin Espor) or you may have trouble at Bali airport.
Only carry in checked bags as they grow in a gel and will be confiscated if in hand carry baggage.
Bali Orchid Garden can also get a Phytosanitary Certificate from Indonesian Quarantine if wanted, but not necessary for Australia under 6 flasks.
Bali Orchid Garden also guarantees entrance to Australia and will replace or refund if taken by Australian Quarantine if any health issue.
They supply flasks on a daily basis to visitors from around the world and have had only one problem in last two years
With anyone else "you pays your money and you takes your chances".
