I understand how you feel as this happened to my wife's mothers ring from another well known person (pak) who deals in jewelry some years ago with three small diamonds that were real but replaced with non real ones and never knew until we went to Burhan (some years later) and told us they have replaced the real ones. Just remember I am not on anyone's side just posting his side. Below is his response.
this person has talked bad about my business, permata dewata "gems and jewelry", what I would like to say here is she was telling lies, she gave me 38,500 grams of gold bracelet, locally made, usually stamed 700 (70%), I had 3 links taken off (her husband Roger asked me to do that), when the bracelet was collected the weight was 38,300 grams, 0,200 grams loss in cleaning and repolishing, I gave her the same bracelet./
this woman spoiled my shop's name by telling a few customers in my shop that it was not her bracelet and she also threatened that she would say something at baliforum, she did it, she had the bracelet tested , it was less than 70%, mostly the gold they sell in the goldshop area, stamped 70% but the gold is not 70%, less than that, sometimes I buy 700 (70%) gold, but I sell them as 14 ct (58,5%).
I am thinking about suing this woman after I get what she wrote at baliforum. how could I say that, my goldsmith didn't do any mistake, I checked the bracelet and the weight before I gave it to him, if she couldn't prove it by showing the receipt when she bought it, she was telling lies, I told my goldsmith about this, he said she should have reported to the police here, he will be responsibled if she was telling the truth. I am still thinking about suing her.
