there are a range of places offering traditional Christmas dinner which are great. We like the cat and Fiddle near Puri Santrian but you will be spoiled for choice. New year celebrates fireworks on the beach and it is awesome. Most hotels charge a compulsory dinner event for New Year so not sure where you are staying you need to check that out. After dinner go to the beach :)you cant travel out of Sanur as taxis wont go anywhere after about 5 pm so if you are planning a trip to Kuta go early.
