Weather pleasant enough with nice breezes, but no rain to keep the dust down and clean off the pavements.
Rupiah is around 10500 to AUD and slipping as AUD slides against the USD.
May have been a good idea to buy those VOA USDs when the Aussie was up (I did when AUD purchased $USD 1.10)
Breakfast at Bemo Corner coffee bar was excellent and they seem to regularly have up to date Aussie papers on the rack, no doubt brought by customers.
This is a nice place and lifts a quiet part of Kuta (other than traffic)
Talking of quiet, I sat for a while in Jl. Bakungsari today at Warung Kak Rebo.
Many years ago I used to stay at the old Bakung Sari Hotel and at one time considered purchasing a place there.
It's all gone now and replaced by a large new hotel, I think focusing on domestic or other Asian tourists.
This street was affected badly by the Kuta Square development, but is now on the up with demolitions and rebuilds happening.
Kak Rebo is worth a stop and serves cold beer, slice lime and nice snacky food.
Another observation is no (or at least I haven't seen any) kids selling bracelet thingos.
Excellent result!!
For those who have to use cars, I pity you.
On the bike one can at least get from A to B somehow, albeit with a degree of risk.
Hati hati is the story, or should that be hati hati??
Good beer, good wine, good company, good weather.....life's a beach?!
Thanks for reading and remember, if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all :)
