Is the correct English translation of "makan kucing" so no, the custom guy would have been confused when you were trying to communicate with him just like Burhan was. Best to keep with the English language unless you are chatting with beach sellers and such. Your "back to front" Indonesian would create much jocularity for them.

If you want to expand on your limited Indonesian you are quite welcome to join me at the ASILE conference in Renon commencing Monday. Myself or one of my colleagues would explain to you how nouns, verbs and adjectives go together in Bahasa Indonesia. You may learn more there than running arround amok like you did earlier today.
