Workman seemed to there last month even at night doing the basement/ground level excavation.
There was also renovations happening at the Rama, at what was their spa I think. My original room was close to the work site so could hear the building works plus had workman going past my room with wheelbarrows etc so asked to be moved as it was not very relaxing.
I have mixed feelings about staying there. When I booked I was going with my partner but he cancelled and didn't travel. Had I known I was going solo I probably would have booked a busier area. I felt it was more suited to couples or families. Having said that I didn't dislike the Rama and appreciated the less hectic feeling v Kuta. I could use the shuttle service to go to Centro if needed. Nice and close to the Pantai and Envy beachfront restaurants so it had some good points.
