to some extent it will depend on where the aircraft will fly on to, for instance if the aircraft flies into Bali from overseas and will then go on to do a domestic flight the domestic passengers will need to be bussed to the aircraft and vice versa if aircraft comes from a domestic flight continuing onwards as an international flight.

We fly on a fairly regular basis to or from Bali to Bangkok and cannot remember ever not using an airbridge on this route whereas our flight into Bali last month was a midnight arrival and we were bussed
to the terminal as the aircraft was parked way up at the domestic end and would probably sit there all night and then depart as a domestic the following day.
The benefit of the bus is you get dropped off right outside the immigration hall and don't have a reasonably long walk through the terminal to get there so I don't mind the bus at all.
