Finally back in Bali, I forgot how amazing it is :) we arrived yes today normally I would have waited to do a HRN but yesterday was eventful so thought I would post while fresh in my mind.
We flew Garuda from Sydney, we love flying with them the staff are great and the VOA at Sydney and the immigration on board saves the hours of lining up...... Unfortunately due to servicing and upgrades the VOA and immigration wasn't offered on our flight, it was disappointing, but we know the staff can't do anything.
By the time we got through the airport and my family did the duty free thing we got to the gate with only 30 minutes to wait :) was great watching all the kids excited, but also had us worrying about how loud our flight would be.
We were warned that due to weather we may get a little turbulence, that was an understatement, tit was so bad my brother and I ended up sick, my brother was so ill that the staff got him face washers filled with ice for his face, they also called the airport and organised a wheelchair for him.
They had someone with a wheelchair when we got off the plane, helped my brother in and out so he could get on the bus to the terminal, they then escorted us throughout the visa, immigration and baggage claim right until he helped us get my brother into the hotel transfer.
The Garuda staff were a great help thought the flight, as always were smiling and happy, they were happy to help. The airport staff were just as good, at helping us get through fast and to our transport.
First time on the new bridge from Denpasar to Nusa, was great. Driver very polite and happy to chat, he is only a new driver has only been a driver for Peninsula for only a week. He drove very well, didn't speed and drove safety so unlike the drivers I've seen in Bali!
Fast check in to the hotel, my bro had a sleep while mum and I did the water shop! Back to go in the bool and a lovely dinner at the Golden Beach restaurant which is in our resort and like 10 steps from our room.
Fireworks went of fat like 8.30 my brother saw them and said they were beautiful.
