The only rafting companies i would EVER recommend in Bali are Bali Adventures and Sobek.
I work in the tourism industry here, and i can tell you that when it comes to safety, they are the absolute best.
There is one company who has showers installed at their end point, but the water is coming down from the subak, which is filled with people pooing, bathing, and dead animals. No way would i want to bathe in that.
Another company, mentioned on this thread, has animals that are treated very poorly and their whole facility is run down. one of their guests died a few years ago, during a rafting trip, and the owner of the company basically blamed it on his size and said 'he probably had a heart attack, he was so fat'. no responsibility at all.
Nup. I only ever recommend those two companies, and i am speaking from having guests do trips with other companies and have incidents with no care from the owners or management.
