JQ flight from Melb. On Sat. arrived in early!!!! Took about 50 minutes from landing to finding our driver. Crazy how the new airport seems more complex!!!!!
Checked in at Pullman Legian to a 2 bedroom apartment (this was our splurge for 2 nights!!!) room huge with 3 sep. rooms and 3 bathrooms (perfect for our kids aged 8,11 &15) No ocean view on this room type ( we're overlooking garden) buffet b'fast great. Loving this location ( we were regulars to the old Bali Intan Cottages on this site before the Pullman was built!) hotel pool's are quite small for hotel this size! The ground rooms facing the garden pool would be great to avoid going up and down lifts!!!! Will stay here again but hopefully will get on Accor sale next time!!!!
Beach- off to catch up with Sonya ( from Bruno's Beach Bar) have known Sonya and Tracy for 25 years,, also had my beach massage (wayan no. 18). Love a day spent on the beach-takes me back to the good old days of Bali!!!!!
Lunch- beach restaurant of Legian Beach Hotel $60 Aud for x3 meals/drinks- food ok and great to have use of clean toilet nearby when on the beach for the day!
Pantari Restaurant for dinner- had dips, gyros, wrap and calamari. Food ok ( calamari not so good) $70 aud for 3 including drinks. Wished we had tried the new Slippery Stone restaurant instead!!!!
Called into Uncle Norms last night- place was rocking!!!!! Music loud- band taking requests. Will be back!!!
So happy to be back in Bali (2nd home for me!!!) I'll have a cocktail or two for those forumites back in Melbourne!!!
