Total chaos!!
I had in mind my old mate Hoolzes assurances that once the VIP guys were
released to "normal duties" all would be well at the airport.
There were literally thousands all trying to get processed, without any obvious formal system in place.
There were queues to get into the queue queue!
Then there were "cris cross" queues as those who do not go through VOA set up a conga line that intersected the "normal" queues.
The euphoria that exists for many on arrival was well wiped off after two and a half hours spent getting through to customs.
The quizzing as to why I had kuching makan (cat food) in my bag did nothing to ease my furrowed brow.
