arrived on Wed, having bought an 8 night deal through Luxury Escapes. Resort is huge, beautiful grounds and fantastic views with an amazing pool area. Big resort, but not crowded and chaotic.
Food and drinks are very expensive - cost us $65 for lunch by the pool on the day we arrived (Mie Goreng, Nasi Goreng, Fish & Chips, 2 iced teas & a small Bintang).
There are options for dining outside the resort - but not what I'd call "good" restaurants. There are a number of places for simple meals overlooking the ocean at Tanah Lot (10-15 min walk through the golf course).
Had dinner last night at Cafe Italia, hidden away down an alley alongside the parking area for Tanah Lot. Very good authentic Italian, simple fresh homemade pasta dishes. Walked there with a whinging 7 yo complaining about how far it was and then discovered the hotel offers free drop off & pick up from there and 1 or 2 other restaurants. Called for a pickup to get back :-)
Tanah Lot is very quiet after the Sunset crowds have departed and most places seem to shut up shop by 7.00 or 7.30pm
