had the same problem 12 months ago. Tried everywhere and eventually pointed to a shop near Toko Central. (Fabric and Buttons shop etc)
In Kuta walk away from Bemo corner with your back to Kuta beach. On the left side of road 200 metres, then over the bridge and there are shops on the left. About the 2nd or third shop had a good selection. Only a very small stall inside. left side. Not hard to find.
