there is a large local market that operates from early every morning on Jalan Sri Rama on the border of Seminyak and Legian.
This was the market that operated on Melasti St. previously I believe.
The market is next to the river, and can be accessed most easily from Jalan Nakula (extension of Jl. 66)
Coming from Legian street, cross the river bridge and turn right, and then tight right again to arrive on the Legian Street side of the river.
The market is very close to the bridge on the right hand side.
Lots of fruit, fish and fresh meats along with usual local product and fare.
Try the tuna or chicken satay sticks cooked on the spot.
Go before 8am.
