Weather still perfect, have good friends staying at the Niksoma so had cocktails and then dinner with them at Romeos at the Ossotel, most of us impressed with food, I had the Tasmanian salmon on a pumpkin purée ....sensational :)
Managed a couple of massages already, both very good, love the really firm massage that Rai dishes out at Sicillia in 66.....ooh aaah. !!!
Tuesday night we had a Sensational meal at Cafe Jadi, as always everyone is impressed, it still takes a loooong time but the black pepper prawns, Borneo fish, chicken with lime, chicken curry and coconut vegetables were all amazing !!
Headed to the beach bars down opp the Deck Wednesday night and had a couple to watch the sunset.....ate at the deck afterwards....not amazing, it's not one of my faves but really not overly keen on any of these beach front restaurants and when you've been down on the sand you are really not dressed suitably to go far.....
Last night we dined at Pearl......such a lovely atmosphere and service great as always.....can't go past the taste plate for starters and desert........they now sell the Cape Discovery Sauv Blanc ($40) which I really enjoy....beats the yukky glass of Italian wine I paid $9.50 for at the Deck :(
Today I wandered the main drag with my skinny girlfriend while she shopped ( really got to lose some weight one day :(..... She manages to find a couple of dresses and tops, I play shop assistant which is what I do so I advise what looks good and what doesn't fit right etc.....I am rewarded by a trip to Taco Beach mexican in Jln Kunti...... Omg !!! The Babi Guling Tacos are to die for !!! Complete with a papaya salsa, I have died and gone to heaven !!! Yum yum yum !!!
Ok so rest time now then off to Bambu in Jln Pettitenget tonight......sounds amazing....recommended by Rob Broadfield in the West last Saturday and before that by good friends who just arrived back....it's very hard to get much from Google, will mention tonight they need a FB page but they are already popular.....
