Our favourite is the Matahari Bungalows at $60 - $70 per night depending on the room type. We've been going there every year since 2009 & won't go anywhere else. It's located about 150mr up Legian St towards Legian from the bomb monument on the same side. Most rooms are now refurbished, but the hotel retains its Bali feel. Close to everything in Kuta & Legian & when you're out the back at the pool, you wouldn't know you're in Kuta. Only problem is that we have to wait until Feb next year to go there again.
