I enjoyed Anika Cooking class in Kuta a couple of years ago. Bigger class size and not quite as hands on as Bamboo Shoots, but you still can participate, and it was much better than the Casa Luna one in Ubud.
The morning class includes a market tour of the Kuta morning market, which is a world away from the one in Sanur! Also, you cook all the dishes first, then have a big feast at the end, unlike eating as you go with the Bamboo Shoots class.
