We left Perth on the lunchtime flight with Air Asia,a group of 10, we actually left a half hour early. My brother was to fly an hour after us with Jet* but that flight got cancelled and he was lucky enough to get on the next Air Asia flight.
Arrived at the airport to utter chaos, had to wait for about an hour and a half, have never waited that long in 28 trips to Bali!
Stayed at the Masa for about the 4th year in a row. Already booked flights and the Masa for next August.
Ate at all the places around Poppies 1 and 2, and a lot of other places. A new one in Poppies 2 had not long opened in March when we were there, and decided to try was Fat Chows, they have people queuing up to get in at night. The food was really good, a few of us had ribs and they were delicious. Swell has really upped the anti, we ate lunch there and watched the footy numerous times, the best Spring Rolls. Un's several times, yummo. Havanna a few times, we had a Babi Guling one night and it was amazing. There Frozen Margarita's are delish. We tried Faja's for the first time and probably the last. We went to Tubes twice the first time really good, a week later we went back and of the 6 of us eating only 1 meal was half decent. The King Prawns were raw and every thing was cold, the chips the vegies and all our food. Taman Sari, Sheppy's, still good. Mozzarella in Padma Street delish as was the Italian place between Poppies 1 and 2. To many to mention. Our fave for lunch is Warong Souvlaki between Poppies 1 and 2, I cant remember how many times we ate lunch there but every time it was spot on and so cheap. Im craving it already.
A group of about 8 of us went on the Bintang Bike ride, I did it a few years ago and once again loved it, everyone wants to do it again next trip.
I played 2 games of Golf at New Kuta and Hubby played about 5 games, enjoyed it once again.
Went up to Tanah Lot to show friends that haven't been there, unfortunately the swell was huge and couldn't walk across. Stopped at Echo Beach for lunch, very nice this time.
We went up to Uluwatu and stopped at Jimbaran for lunch at the New Bendesa, we have been several times for dinner and has always been spot on and very reasonable. The Clams are amazing.
Did the usual shopping and plenty of relaxing.
