Some brief notes from trip 20 something to Bali:
stayed at Amadea Villas-adequate for the money-small rooms (deluxe) but great location breakfast was horrible o went to the corner house and had simple but yummy food and good coffee
three of us got upset tummies from Cafe Bali-must say over rated and despite nice ambience a pretty average place Mykonos-very very average still love Sardine, Ultimo and Sarong
Lots of random comments about the prices in Bali-seems prices are getting to a level that might stop Aussies going + VOA increase -not such a bad thing :)
amazing amount of inexperienced people riding scooters without helmets-young girls with friends texting on rear-soon to be on TV and demanding consulate assistance or donations because no insurance
I have access to a lounge and would say don't waste your USD 25.00 to eat really average food and bad wine Was fascinated by the 3 groups of PRC chinese who attacked the food as soon as the waiters replenished the trays-one lady took every spring roll and her table was full of food drinks etc which I noticed was left on the way out-gluttony!
Garuda flight was delayed for the night due to "bad weather in Perth" despite Jetstar taking off-and then broke down again next am
Bali will have to move over from Lembongan or similar
