The Balinese call anybody giving them money from overseas sponsors,
some enterprising locals have more than one. The Dutch are very prominent SPONSORS as well as Australians. We were never asked but did provide money for a lass with breast cancer, for her operation. We checked it out with a well known Aust.medical Ibu in Bali and also
contacted the oncologist/surgeon from BROS who did both operations all
totally legitimate and am in constant touch when back is Aust. with her
Doctor. She would have died if we hadn,t helped, and was quite prepared
for it. As far a we are concerned it was the best investment we have ever made. A life. Having said that I know there are a lot of Bali stories told that are not true and people are sending cash, believing them. Personaly know a Kiwi who went bankrupt over one particular crafty devil and she wasn,t the only one he scammed. It,s a case of buyer or friendship beware.Always check it out if possible don,t be a complete idiot, but there are also a lot of very true sad cases also.
