Well not really, been back three weeks now.

Will they ever sort out the one and a half hour wait to get through the airport ? One would think that with the price rise for arrivals and departures some extra staff would be in attendance.

Had two wonderful weeks in Tanjung Benoa really slack arsed and did very little, spoilt to death at Novotel and celebrated a wedding anniversary, got back to the room after the dinner to find the room decorated out by the staff, fifty red roses for herself, the room covered in flowers, the bed decorated with two swans, cards from the staff and a cake from the kitchen, so what does herself do ? Takes a look around the room and bursts into tears. Bloody soft she is !

Dined out most evenings, not a restaurant in TB that we would not recommend, just love La Lorraines and The Tree.

Managed to get half a dozen gigs in, still enjoy it. I keep telling them all when I can't do it anymore don't ask me up, plays hell with the fingers these days and I'm slowing a bit.

The only trip we did out of the area was to visit the orphanage in Amlapura. Quite a delightful surprise, this is the first time we have ever been and not had to buy food thanks to the amazing support of those "Bali Forumites" and others who continue to include a visit in their itinery.

After many visits over several years we are now beginning to get feed back from those children who are finding their way in the world after leaving Amlapura. One young lady who left three years ago is married to a doctor and has a beautiful two year old daughter we are informed that she is our grand daughter ( you work it out ) goosebumps and all that ! Her name is Elu and she is now the office supervisor at Hardy's in Amlapura.

Another young lady Ni Nyoman, we saw her two years ago working as a check out chick at Hardy's, she told us that she would use her money for further education, she is now part time at Hardy's and part time primary school teacher which will lead to a full time teaching position. Great to see her.

Can't remember all the boys names, this one was kicked out of home by his fathers new wife two years ago, thing about him that he is a super brain with a very high IQ. He is now the head housekeeper in a hotel in Candi Dasa.

Another young lady is managing a Babi Guling restaurant. All the children are doing very well at school and we are heartened by the way
those that leave succeed.

For those of you who remember the JBR about herself getting locked out of the room and stranded on the balcony, well the little Japanese bloke that saved the day for her was there again this year, every year he rocks up with a differant drop dead gorgeous beauty. Lucky do-er.We still get a good laugh out of that predicament.

Missed out on seeing our lovely local blonde and her husband, missed you both, catch up soon eh ?

Had a computer crash a while ago and lost everything, left my email address open if you want to re-instate your email address.

Cheers.
