I always get TI with them and I pay extra to cover the excess. Last trip my daughter had an overnight stay in Bimc with Gastro. Bimc 'blocked' $1000aud on my creditcard. They then rang 1Cover for me and I spoke with a nurse in Australia. Once Bimc sent the medical certificate through to 1Cover, 1Cover approved coverage for all expenses and they removed the block on the credit card. BUT..it took a while for it to be processed through the banks. I wasnt out of pocket at all. The day my daughter was released from Bimc..that night I was admitted with Gastro (sheesh) same procedure applied. Another block..another approval..another removal of block. It was alot of mucking around but I was never physically out of pocket.PS..forgot to mention that the block was for room only.
