There is so much to be said, that it's better to break this up into a few pieces, lest I bore you all witless.

Flying out of Perth on Jetstar on 2nd June, we were full of optimism for our first trip in two years; after the customary 10 minute tour of Perth Airport we were off, seated on opposite sides of the aisle! We were very close to two children totally out of control in the screeching-screaming department, practically non-stop for 3.5 hours. My pleas to Staff to issue these trainee banshees with free rasor-blades to play with were not successful until they managed a smile when they realised I was joking with my second choice of a rotten spud administered orally; you can't win em' all.

The Jetstar food of Chicken, Rice and Greens was a beautiful pre-taste of the food awaiting us in the Isle of Smile by The Mile, this prepaid for by our daughter and it just remained for us to pay for a quaff of red of a very high atandard.

Ngurah Rai at night was a scene of total chaos, culminating in a long wait for our pick-up by Raine Suite Hotel amidst a cacophany of whistle-blowing officials and honking horns. It took as long to get out of this new monstrous airport as it did to get to our hotel in Seminyak, where awaited more problems. We have previously mentioned that some of the wheel-chairs are only suitable for apprentice Japanese jockys, well now we found out where these jockeys stay in Bali, yes at Raine Suite Hotel, plagued by myriads of steps everywhere, which were as usual of different pitch to fool the evil spirits, as we half staggered and were half carried to our closet, sorry room, which was not big enough to swing a mouse in never mind a cat.

We slept with the help of Mr Jameson and got ready to leave ASAP in the morning, leaving some pre-paid money behind in our desperate chase for Euoropean-type space, at tha Hotel where we had booked the last 8 days of our stay and luckily they were able to fit us in immediately.

The Staff at Raine Suite were exceptionally helpful, practically carrying my 110k up and down stairs with great good humour and patience. However, it was notable that, when we asked for our bags to be brought out to the waiting Taxi, they broke all speed records in helping us depart, understandably so. Who could blame them as we were not mutally suited, both sides parting amicably as we zoomed off to the lovely Fontana Hotel nearby, an Hotel of a totally different calibre, of which we will have a lot to say later in a positive frame of mind.

Pete back in Wettish Rocko'.
