So last morning in Sanur, up early and breakie, leave hubbie playing on his ipad. I am on mission to get to shops. Had a belt copied that I didn't mention in previous JBR. Took it in Monday morning and wanted it copied in black and 2 copies in tan, I only had one buckle he could use so was unsure what would come back. They are thick and extra long for hips. Called in to pick up, the 3 for 900,000 which sounds expensive but not compared to what I would pay here. They were perfect, very happy. Kids wanted Raybans so got those after much bartering, it really wore me down this trip. My son wanted some NBA Guernseys, that was another bartering nightmare. Quick iced coffee at Little Bird where our friends were as I walked past, so hot now so back to hotel for quick swim & pack up and get transferred to their accomm for our pickup from Pradha Villas in Seminyak. They were staying at Kembali Guest lodge, was hard to find but looks very nice, small pool and not much room around it but they loved it there, great location too.

Pradha driver was on time and off we go, very hot by this stage. Our 2 bed villa is lovely, 2 separate bedrooms separated by pool and open air living/dining/kitchen. Pool bit chilly, gets a lot of shade and only 2 lounges, what is that about when it is clearly a 4 person villa? There is nowhere for the men to sit LOL cos of course us girls get the sunlounges! Course its lunchtime and we love to eat. The Junction for lunch, a short 5min walk from Pradha coming in back of Seminyak Square, pity the footpaths are so bad. Hi-rise hotels going up everywhere, they do not have the infrastructure to cope with all this. The traffic is horrendous, much worse than our last visit 2012, I am happy we are in a spot we can mainly walk and no kids means no day tripping to waterbom/rafting/etc etc and sitting in cars for hours on end.

Anyway, The Junction was lovely meal. Quick shop at the Flea Market where I am eyeing off a leather bag. I took one to be copied so on way back called into 2 leather places for quotes, 1.2million and 4 days I was quoted. I think not, plenty at the Flea Market that are way cheaper and similar. Hubby needed some t-shirts...he gave up bartering and walked away, sooo impatient he is. Back to villa for swim/relax before heading down beach for sunset on the beanbags, running late so couldn't get in at La Plancha, settled for the one a few before it, sunset nothing special very cloudy. So where for tea? I remember a lady telling me in Sanur about a great place off Double 6 called Jadi's Café (after me mentioning I wanted to go to Pearl). She said down same laneway, bit hard to find. I coax everyone to make the trek and find it....a trek it was and them cursing me ‘are you sure it is there'... as we turn down the laneway to Pearl a lady sees us and says are you looking for Jadi's...took us there. Our find of the holiday. Tables/chairs set up in her backyard, she has open kitchen and you watch her cook everything from scratch. Our best meal. It takes some time so many bintangs consumed and help yourself to the fridge and pile them up, she counted empties at the end! We said bring us something for entrée, a big plate of the best salt/pepper prawns for about $12 come out, my girlfriend allergic to prawns so Jadi brings her a little of plate of potato wedges that had been coated in coconut milk..they were divine and we all wanted them! We shared a few mains, beef rending, borneo fish, lime chilli chicken, and a large crab dish. All cheap cheap except the crabs (we didn't realise) but all the best flavours and had we been staying in Legian we would have returned. Other couples there knew about her and said they often ring and order their meal in advance if they don't want to wait. She does it all on her own, although when we turned up she rang someone LOL and they were there to help her shortly after, a gorgeous lady.

Next morning up and at em to finish this shopping. After breakie down to flea markets again, 1 x big leather bag for 750K and 1 smaller one with fringing for a 21st present for 450K. My girlfriend bought wallet and small bag too, lovely range and quality there. More bits and pieces for kids. Hubby off for massage, we rest with Iced coffee and relax before meeting up with him. We decide on Potato Head for lunch, needs ticking off the list. It was lovely, very hot day, we did the share plates of Asian style, it wasn't too expensive, 2 x bingtangs each. Hubbies more keen on watching girls in skimpy bikinis LOL. We drag them away, I remember BIKU was awesome last time, let's go for dessert/coffee. We snagged the couch/coffee table luckily which was very comfy anyway. But eyes bigger than belly's and of course we order 2 x high tea's and a mousse platter and coffees...we rolled out, It was awesome and our friends couldn't believe the awesome value for $10.

Dinner wasn't really needed, no-one hungry but that doesn't stop us. To Mexican near Flea Market, read the reviews, seems ok and it was. Lovely and fresh ingredients, only a small place but wasn't busy. The margeritas were so so. Dinner didn't take long, we shared nachos and all had enchiladas pretty much. Wandered up the street looking for a bar and I remembered UPasha has a rooftop bar, we had considered staying here. Up we go and what a view, only one other couple there, we all had a drink sitting on the big day beds, very nice. That one round of drinks was $33 though (2 x cocktails, 2 x bingtang) so on we move to the Champagne Bar. Busy busy..took ages to be served, young hip crowd, once again a round of drinks $30, so we grab a taxi to head home. But driving past Zappa Bar with windows down, taxi at a crawl, we hear the music, that sounds awesome, let's get out. And there we sang/danced/drank until 1am! Had a great time.

Last full day in Seminyak. Our friends went to Finns Beach for the day, we decided we didn't want to sit in traffic on our last day despite them showing us the photos on line etc. well glad we didn't go, 1hr there and 1.5hrs back, they got there and the pool and main restaurant closed for private function but no reduction in the $50 entry (which is refunded thru food/drinks). They enjoyed it but couldn't snorkel (too rough), they were back by 3pm. We had a lovely lazy day of massage/facial/lunch again at The Junction, swimming/reading/relaxing. Perfect.
So we are at LaPlancha by 5.15pm this time, great sunset, lovely tapas and drinks, we didn't want to leave being our last night, sat there until 7pm I think, caught a taxi back to villa. Then to decide on dinner.....so many choices. We decide to give Jemme a go, hop in taxi cos no idea where it, P/Head being as far north as we have ever gone. What a find, it was beautiful, the décor is gorgeous, the service and meal fine dining and delicious. We had 2 x wines each, entrée/main each and $64 per couple. Loved it, would definitely return.

An early night much to husband's disgust...but they were getting up 6am to go down watch soccer anyway. Girls up 8am for breakie in villa, they brought it in every day, 3 mornings we asked them to cook it fresh in villa, 3 mornings in a row they brought it from the restaurant, cold bacon...otherwise it was fine. We had 9am appts at Bodyworks, what a hard place to get into, I had an awesome pedicure and my friend a facial. I came out and thought I need a back massage so asked and they said wait 10mins. A busy busy place, people coming/going the whole time but worth the extra $ to go there, massage was awesome but hurt. Race back to villa get hubbie who is patiently waiting, we are getting taken to airport at 12, I haven't even packed! We go down street buy dvd's, only about 10, kids download everything these days. Quick coffee and back to villa for shower/pack. We leave 12 noon for airport which was very impressive. Busy though, the wifi was so slow, we couldn't get a table anywhere to have coffee/snack, there isn't enough of them. Black Canyon doing a roaring trade. Flight left on time pretty much, we didn't have anyone between us so could spread out, I had pre-ordered meals and they were fine. Just watched shows in my ipad, it went very quickly and landed in Melb to about 10 degrees, awesome. Next year is Europe we hope so Bali 2016 and we plan on 2 nights on Nusa Lembongan and back to Sanur/Ubud. Seminyak just too busy now. Thanks for reading!
