Does anyone know why hotels in Bali have heavy doonas or blankets on the beds? (Thank you bagusbabe for reminding me about this in one of your delightful JBRs).
I realise there must be tourists who insist on turning the AC down (up?) until they've recreated a Melbourne winter's night in their rooms, but surely most people are happier with just a sheet in the tropics?
I often have to ask for a top sheet and the request usually causes confusion.
I would have thought it was in the hotel's interests (not to mention the environment's) for hotels to make it comfortable for tourists to sleep with little or no AC?
Thoughts?
