We are staying at poppies now. Four day stay before going to ubud. I've stayed here a few times before and always love it. Stop here straight from plane as it is not far from airport and airport transfer is included in the price Stayed in lots of rooms here and never had a problem with noise. My mum said she was disturbed by noise when she had a room near the street so maybe ask for one not near street.

Brekkie is not included but you order room service and it comes from poppies restaurant across the street. It is a little expensive but the fruit salad with muesli and fresh fruit, honey and yogurt is something I think about all year until I come back and have it again, vegetable mornay at night is so delicious you want to lick the bowl. Mango juice and watermelon juice is pure juice and yummy.

Poppies lane is a tight squeeze so if we use taxis we get dropped off on Main Street and walk through lanes to hotel, easy walk. Yes there are motorbikes in lane but just keep to the side and be aware of them and you'll be fine.

A few restaurants are within a short walk, poppies which is lovely but a little expensive, unas, my mum says food lovely but I was sick that day and didn't eat, Sendok in poppies lane not much stuff on pizza and mango and watermelon juice had water in them but sate was yummy. Bemo car coffee shop lovely and cool owed by ozzies lovely bali staff iced coffees and chocolates yummy.

Yes there are mozzies when you sit on your verandah which u will as it's lovely just ensure you use aero guard I don't always need it but should put on anyway.

Honestly I hate saying nice things about this place as I love it so much and don't want it to be overbooked as are so many when people find out how good they are. Some of the best things about it are the bathroom and pool, have a look on website you'll fall in love. It is a quiet oasis in busy kuta, they also have a resident cat and dog, which don't bother you unless you want a pat or cuddle, I love as I miss my animal family when I come to bali.

They also have a little library room where you can borrow books and swap for another if you wish too take one away, you can also borrow DVDs and use the internet on two computers there for free. Wifi in rooms has a great signal and we've never had a problem with.

Perfect sitting on verandah in mornings watching lizards and little squirrels in trees. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough, I just hope not too many people read this and I can book in ok again next year....

Any questions just ask, if I don't know I'll try and find out for you.

I thought of one bad thing ... No kettle or tea and coffee for room. They do supply a jug with tea in it for the morning and you can ask for jug of hot water if you have your own tea or coffee.
