If they enforce their policy you will only get back the airport tax component of the airfare for a no show less $5 processing fee.

You can change your dates but they will be subject to a $45 per sector per passenger charge and the difference in the airfare if it higher.

However if it is lower you do not get the difference.

The guy who had his carriage of the electric wheel chair refused = despite the AA website specifically excluding these - got a $1500 good faith payment as his partner took it the next day.

Probably mainly due to the media attention.

What I would suggest is you ask the question to AA on their FB page quoting your booking reference number and see what they say.

Make sure it is a public post on FB.
