I flew with Air Asia, Perth to Vietnam via KL last year. Had no problems. We decided not to stay overnight in KL, but did have about a 5 - 6 hour wait in transit at the budget carrier terminal. We managed to kill time though - ate, read and had a snooze laying down across a few seats in the waiting area upstairs. Would definitely use Air Asia again.
