Ifi you are from Australia, surely you would have seen many recent articles both in the print and electronic media (that's TV). Why ask such a rediculous question, or are you just Winding people up?
Here's the way it is over here.
IF you don't have a current Australian Motor cycle licence, then don't try and ride a motor cycle over here!! Indonesian law is very specific with "tourists driving licences". Don't have a licence in your country, don't try and drive or ride in Indonesia.
Importantly, if you are in control of a motor vehicle - that is either a motor car OR motor cycle and you are involved in a crash, you will definitely need some sort of hospital intervention. That is a visit to a Casualty Department or E.D. You will not be seen by any Doctor etc until you have either, presented your Credit Card or Travel Insurance information. If you pay in advance, you can usually claim your expenses on your return home.
EXCEPT when you 1; don't have an International Driving Permit (issued by your relevant Motoring organisation eg NRMA, RAA, etc). 2. don't have a current Australian drivers licence. - with no endorsements. 3.were wearing a Proper Saftey helmet. (Not the novelty ones with Viking horns etc etc). Your Australian Travel insurance company will not pay out a single cent for your hospitalisation and/or subsequent retrieval back to your home state. The latter can run costs up to AUD $40-60,000. Until it's paid, you won't be going anywhere.
The IDR50,000, you "pay" for your traffic fine to get off a traffic infringement just isn't worth it. No Licence - don't ride or drive.
Hope this helps. Don't run the risk.
