Jetstar fares can be "special".
For example from SYD, the special Jetstar price is only $10 more expensive than AA's special price and this is for a direct flight with 10 kg of carry on luggage.
The AA flight is through KUL and carry on luggage is limited to only 7 kg.
Jetstar often has promo fares for PER to Lombok. AA fares to Lombok through KUL from PER are expensive.
