In Legian we like to head to the beach just past KP near the rainbow flag and very soon will be provided with a seat and a table. I mean they now have both diet coke and San Mig. light, how swish is that? As the sun sets we embark on a discussion about whether we, (well by we I actually mean Brian because let's face it I am bone lazy) should join the queue for Bakso. Sometimes this queue reaches all the way from the Bakso man to the ocean! Apparently he is famous on the internet and my beach friends tell me he is more fussy than most about washing the dishes. On nights when the queue is not so long we may have Bakso...yum! Sometimes we get our dinner from the Nasi Padang lady, ever smiling, the Nasi Padang Lady that is, not us, although we are usually smiling too.
The food is fine, the view at sunset is too, the drinks are cold so that's fine and in fact we are fine to sooooooooooooooooo???
Then in Southern Sanur there is the Beach Breeze Warung, at the T intersection near Sanur Beach Hotel. Now up front it much be admitted that Beach Breeze is a little bit of an exageration, but there is definitely a breeze, well overhead fans actually and being on a corner, you get the picture don't you? I suppose the "Overhead Fan Warung, On the Corner not far from the Beach" doesn't really have the same ring. Anyway I digress, sitting there with the breeze and their cold San Mig and Diet Coke and their very fine Ayam Lalapan, Ayam Taliwang or Ayam Opor we are very definitely fine sooooooooooooo.
Does that qualify as fine dining?
