Agree with Int, this was the best of the "cheap" white wines I've had in Bali. It was the house white at Ultimo in Seminyak - for about Rp 80,000 from memory.

The Cape Discovery "Explorer" White is my pick of the local wines, or the Artisan Rose is not too bad either. Bubbles are expensive, even more so than wine - again at Ultimo we had bottles of Chandon and it was about Rp 650,000. Have rarely seen bubbles available by the glass except for the Red Carpet Champagne Bar in Seminyak, but I've only ever drunk water there so not sure of prices :-)

Most restaurants will have wine by the glass, but if you went somewhere that didn't have it on the menu you could always BYO after checking it was OK to do so. The bottle shop at the front of Bintang Supermarket has a pretty good selection and reasonable prices - I've picked up NZ Sav Blanc there for about $32 a bottle which would sell in a restaurant for twice that
