As of a couple of weeks ago there were two lounges at the new airport terminal. The Garuda BC lounge is near gate 1 and the Premier Lounge for other airlines is near gate 9 and 10. Having been in both, I would have to say the Premier is the better lounge as the Garuda Lounge is really just a simple seating area with not much choice in the way of food or drinks.
One of the things that had stopped me flying with Virgin previously was that no one could tell me if they had a lounge for use at Perth and what the lounge was that they use at DPS. For others, like me, who never had an answer to my emails: They use the Singapore Airlines Lounge in Perth, which is fine and the Premier Lounge in DPS which I feel is better than the Garuda Lounge currently.
