There is a great telkomsel office/shop on the right hand side of poppies 1 from the beach end. Sim card only costs price of credit amount plus 3,000 rupiah (30 cents) and no surcharge when you top it up there. prior to this I've been charged varying amounts and getting ripped off like countless others. They also fixed a few technical problems for us. Very helpful! By the way, this was for my Bali phone but I'm sure they can help with all types of phone.
