Hi there, we have our own car at the Villa, and we usually just get our villa manager
to do the driving for us (I have got so lazy !) ... but what I can do is HIGHLY recommend
someone in town (this is for the driving) -
KOMANG GEJOR ... you can call him Gejor (Ge like in key, jor like in jaw ... Ge jor)
I have known him for a while, he is a local Candidasa guy, so he knows all about the local area,
and he will look after all your transfer & transport to / from and in and around Candidasa.
He has worked on cruise ships for a few years, so knows what service is all about,
and speaks excellent English. He is a great guy - can highly recommend him.
You can contact him on -

e-mail; joorjetz@gmail.com
phone; 0819 1613 4266 (local)

- best just for texting if you need to.

As for snorkelling ...
There are a few options right off the back of our place (we are at the south west end of Candidasa).
There is the more traditional jukung, which are narrow, you sit one behind the other, or there is also
a wider version outrigger which you can sit side by side - and they have a roof (going across to
Bloo Lagoon for snorkelling and or White Sand Beach can get a bit burnie in the sun).
You can either walk down the gang between Villa Pantai Villa Rindik (the gang is marked with a
small blue sign as Gang Impi Yannya) - roughly opposite La Rouge Restaurant, or walk through
the beach car park next to Villa Pantai and head to your left along the pebble beach and talk to
one of the fishermen (who take people out for snorkelling / small islands / white sand beach trips)
... or, you can call one of two guys that have the bigger size outrigger style boats that we always use
(alternate times) - Wayan from the boat called My Dream, you can call him on - 0819 3301 5914
or Ketut has a boat called Nemo, you can call him on - 0817 478 3200 ... which is easy to call and book
- or just go and see them at the beach (but not always there).
They have all the snorkelling gear you need and is included in their price.
If you do prefer a more traditional Jukung, then talk to any of the boat people / fishermen down on
the beach and see what suits you best.
Pricing, if you just go to Bloo Lagoon or just the small islands off from Candidasa, it would be around
Rp250k ... if you do Bloo Lagoon and the Islands, maybe Rp350k ... if all 3, maybe Rp450,000
(but this is all flexible - everything is a rubber price in Bali as you may know), all depends on your bargaining skills ;-)
Regards,
Geoff
