Have a look at "French Leather" - in Jl Sahadewa (also known as Garlic Lane). This is between Jl Melasti and Jl Padma ... we have had stuff made there over the past 10 years and have always been happy with their work. My wife has had maybe 5 jackets made for her over the years ~ always happy with the result. Mat is the owner, although he spends more time in Australia these days than in Bali, but the staff there are ok, good English, and understand what you want.
Ivan that worked their for many years has moved on and now has his own shop (not sure where it is located though). I assume it would all be same same at his shop.
