I assume you are talking about going from Gilimanuk to Ketapang. You do not seem like the type of person that will be doing the driving, so why not leave it to your driver to take care of this? There is only one type of ferry which takes pedestrians, cars, bikes and buses.The last I heard of the price for a sedan was Rp 114,000 but there was talk of a huge price increase.
Most car hire places in Bali will not allow their cars to go on the ferry to Java, so you might like to think about that side of it if you are self driving.
