So after 25+ trips and some years 6+ weeks 2013 was the first year that my wife and I did not visit Bali. OK, I went to other nice places and I did miss - the lovely private villa, great warung food, restaurants such as SIP, Sarong, Pearl..., countryside vistas, Ubud vibe, warmth, great shopping. But I didn't miss the traffic, mad driving, touts, tummy troubles, filth (in some areas) and some of the Balinese - though I love others.

Anyway I already have a Pacific Island holiday (lux villa in Vanuatu) booked for 9 nights in May BUT by mate with a villa in Bali (who gives me great rates) said he has availability for 12 or so nights from mid Easter (6 of the 12 nights I would be away are public holidays incl ANZAC, and weekend i.e. no work) AND I can get reasonable fares.

What would you do? Please vote below and I will follow the consensus. I was going to have a few years break from Bali and am sooooo conflicted whether to take up this opportunity or not. I know - pathetic and just do it right but I am trying to 'grow up' and not need as many 'Bali fixes'. PS My lovely wife can't make the trip - though she is coming to Vanuatu a few weeks after my possible Bali (unplanned) visit.
