We are thinking of flying Melb to Perth, Perth to Lombok in September as the price is very reasonable compared to Melb to Bali direct. We are a family of four who like to surf (I like to watch). We have never ventured over to Lombok or the Gili's so don't know anything at all. Looking for recommendations on accommodation on both Lombok and Gili T (not five star) but will consider any other and also where to surf. Any advice would be appreciated.
