We went into the chemist and were looking at Strepsils for a little teeny weeny scratchy throat. Now, I am talking incy wincy tickle in throat. No raging fire in throat at all. No hint of fever or other irksome symptoms whatsoever.
"Oh" says the very helpful young assistant "Yes we have Strepsils but we have these too. Same as Strepsils only better".
We took the silver strip and toddled off in our usual manner. Luckily I decided to read the printing on the strip and became suspicious with a name ending in ...cylin and googled it. Turns out to be as I suspected an antibiotic but not just any old antibiotic. This is a particularly dangerous one with very nasty potential side effects. In fact only to be used as a last resort and under medical supervision.
Honestly these things could probably be thrown as bombs and wipe out small neighbourhoods. OK, I know, read the small before you leave the shop or at least before you take ANYTHING!
