HELLO lovely people who helped me with all my questions this trip and a few before too !
Got back home yesterday..what a shock to the system having to make my own breakfast, drive my own car and so on !!
Had a great 10 nights in Sanur at the Puri Santrian. Definitely can recommend this hotel, its really beautiful and in southern Sanur which i hadn't really explored much as 2 yrs ago stayed more the northern end. Lovely warungs along that stretch of beach plus great restaurants all within walking distance. We caught taxis a few times too...just to go to Charming as i was addicted to their coffee creme brûlée last time, Kayu Manis as its no. 1 on Trip Advisor (wanted to check out) and Hardys for the necessities. The resort was mainly full of Dutch travellers it seems and they could be seen all ages riding their bikes without fear through Sanur, even some really old ones lol. The staff were wonderful and I would definitely stay there again.
Did a lot of shopping (homewares) as I purchased extra luggage to bring back and it seems that was a good way to do it as customs allowed it all through (shell things, timber and straw things). Went with a guide and had cushions made up and found some quirky places in Denpasar that i wouldn't have found otherwise.
Went over to Breezes at the Samaya for my husbands 50th and enjoyed it although the rain and wind sort of ruined my idea of sunset by the beach. We also went to Finns Beach Club for the day and I thought it was awesome.
Had my hair cut pretty short at JazB in Seminyak Square. Really like them there and had toes/nails and eyelash extensions there too. Been there 3 times now and love them. Not cheap but excellent quality.
Had a lovely massage at the Kamuela next door and had dinner there too at Caramel Restaurant which was beautiful. Other places we ate in Sanur were Salte Pepe, Massimos,
Breezes Warung, Tities Warung.
Our daughters flew over to surprise the birthday boy and that was really great. They stayed at Kutaville which is behind Seminyak Square. They were really happy there, good location too.
Hubby surfed to his hearts content at Keramas, somewhere near there, and Serangan.
All in all in was the best holiday to Bali I've ever had. Defintely would go again in Feb as enjoyed the quiet season and the weather was great. Big rain some nights or afternoons but most days sunny, not too hot etc. I was very happy with that as was a bit worried about it.
Happy holidays for those yet to go and to those who helped me with my many pest questions i THANK YOU xxx
