Moved up to Sanur New Year's Day, have always felt the need to stay but with teenage girls has always been objected to, stayed at the Tamukami hotel in a bungalow room, M10 did not want to go out exploring, nanny engaged, wandered around, went to Hardys for supplies, shops and markets, seemed to have older stock than legian/Seminyak so didn't need to buy anything. Had dinner at 3 Monkeys, lovely setting, amazing food and reasonably priced.
About 10pm M10 said I don't feel very well, then vomited, managed to swallow anti nausea tablet, stomach settled, went to sleep, woke at 2am to him vomiting in his sleep, cleaned up, housekeeping came and changed his bed etc, he reluctantly had a shower, really, boys can be so gross! Another anti nausea pill some lemonade, settled, then he slept through, woke feeling unwell, but that was the end of the vomiting, I said we would see a Dr and he had a melt down, he was not having this, many will not understand this but my 1 and 3 if they refuse to do something, they will accept any punishment, consequence, pass up ANY bribe, they have this shut down capacity, so we agreed No Dr if the tablets continued to work and he would drink and he was showing signs of improvement, only once did I have to pull out the well if you won't drink, you will end up in hospital with a drip being force fed fluid! He was better within two days, eating lightly then by day 3 I was missing the quite, sleeping little boy, I had my normal loud, annoying one back (I know I am a bad person, but they are cute and fragile when they are sick)
Nanny came in for a couple of hours in the afternoon and I went out to get my hair cut and coloured.
Day 8, had postponed due to us getting sick was day 1 of my Padi open water ticket course, this was in a pool in Seminyak, heaps of stuff to learn, was great fun and then already to go for Day 2 using these skills in the ocean
Met up with Ms 17 and B/f for high tea at Biku and some shopping. Biku is a regular visit for us, they must have new staff at the moment, service was odd, not bad, just chaotic, everything got bought out one at a time, and simple things not remembered, fresh juices delivered, but not the coke. Was lovely as always, just comical.
Found some beautiful clothes in a little boutique coco Maku and the designer/owner popped in while we were there. And went to the beach walk, don't love it, but it's worth a stroll around (and did find a fabulous dress in body and soul)
Taxi back to Sanur, M10 got up and came for a swim but refused to go out for dinner, so room service, and I was impressed with the restaurant at the Tamukami. Early to bed 7am start.
