Treetops adventure park is such a great day out, long drive but heaps to see, the Bedugal national Park is beautiful and the curse is great fun, due to feeling unwell, I was not game enough to climb this time, not wanting to get caught up in the trees and needing a toilet, M10 did all the levels until the black one where he had a melt down at the rope swing, he was rescued an lowered to safety by staff. The one clever new addition since our last visit is the cafe, I very much appreciated the hot tea. Good idea to bring a jumper as it can be a lot cooler here.

Also NYE, so when we got home I slept for a couple of hours, we went to the beach and sat on bean bags, I ordered a cocktail, one sip and realised it was too soon, but could eat a bit of the pizza we ordered. I am still struggling to come to terms with having 5 nights in Seminyak which could potentially have been 15 meals and I ate out 3 times! This being the main reason for staying in the area! Watched the fireworks, bought a laser pointer (not such a good thing) M10 wanted one last trip, weak moment, he was very good with it, keeping it on the ground or the ceiling over his bed only, he knew it was only going to last while we were in Bali and if it went near anyone's eyes it was gone. Back to the hotel by 9.30, so M10 could have required satay and choc milkshake for dinner. The heavens opened and it rained for most of the night, the fireworks were amazing, would have loved to have stayed on the beach for this, this is my 10th trip, first New Years and first time I have been sick! Oh well, will just have to try again this year!
Ms 17 and B/f were under strict instruction to notify as soon as safely home, no message, except one Facebook post by said boyfriend that he was unable to get the kettle to boil to make 2min noodles!
So day 6 I arrive on their doorstep at 10am knocking until the open the door (which wasn't actually locked) and Ms 17 confused why I was cranky as she had messaged, checked her phone and had typed and sent but didn't check to make sure it had actually connected, all forgiven - and the 'kettle' was a thermos, which he still hadn't worked out, was just amazed the clever little man had made it produce hot water! While in the area went to Ambiente for a beautiful facial for me and leg massage for M 10.
