I agree with you about the touching and its very sad but on the other hand I do believe they lean the bad language from tourists.
We were at the port in Banoa waiting to board for a day trip and the people were there with their snakes, selling photos and stuff. I noticed the HUGE python had sticky tape wound round his tail end and mentioned it to hubby. The young girl taking photos said, "yep me taped up his ar**hole so him not s**t everywhere" her face was so straight I realy think she had no idea that what she was saying was swearing! I nearly fell over laughing!
Then there were the little street kids trying to sell my 17 year old son bracelets, when he said no thanks the little urchin kicked him up the bum,called him a tight a**ed Aussie and ran like hell. Little bugger knew exactly what he was saying! Lol
