Most JBRs go straight through. Unless you are staying at the town houses in Kuta or trying to recommend a V I P arrival service or certain other businesses.
In these 2 cases it got quite nasty a while back on here and some really "nasty" things were said. I think the names were banned to protect the operators of these operations. That's just my opinion of course because some people would say they were banned to stop advertising.
I do know for a fact that one person who was accused of promoting his own apartment at the above place by giving info and praising the place actually had nothing to gain at all because although he did indeed own an apartment, it was not in the rental pool so it would in fact have been in his interest if the place was really quiet.
It really turned into a hate campaign. A perfectly nice Indonesian lady who runs amongst other tourist services an arrival V I P meet and greet thing, was maligned in a very nasty way too. Her crime was having a partner who some on here don't like. She ran her tourist service way before she met him, back as far as before the first Bali bomb.
A lot more went on but I guess if those in question wanted those details made public then they would have posted about them themselves. I guess I am overusing the word "nasty" but it fits.
This is of course my opinion on what went on. Others can and probably will disagree. However I wouldn't let this kind of unpleasantness stop you posting a JBR or whatever you like. You have after all been on this site for a long time. I will look forward to reading yur report.
