We of the Sanur Snake Appreciation Society are a tad disappointed at the recent bad press details released about the 'killer' python of Sanur.
We are also worried that this snake will be hunted and destroyed. We do not want to see another human hurt so have decided to release details of correct snake hunting procedures.
Firstly and most important is not to frighten the snake, so it is advisable to wear a small bell around your neck so the snake will be aware of your approach and will not be alarmed. Secondly it is very important to carry a can of pepper spray in case things go bad.
These snake hunting kits (bell and spray) can be purchased from Ron at Sanur beach villas.
*tip* If you buy five there is a good discount.
To find the snake is very important. Therefore look for snake droppings. Smaller pythons leave smaller droppings containing remnants of small frogs and lizards. Larger pythons obviously leave larger droppings. These can be easily recognised because they contain small bells and have a strong pepper aroma.
Happy hunting.
