Change can take many generations and I wont see an ultimate outcome for most of the projects I'm involved with in my lifetime. Philosophically it is also difficult. Our foremost concern is for our footprint and we often refuse or withdraw from a project because we can see that our cultural clout is going to overwhelm. Most of the benevolent projects I see touted on here for Bali seem naively concerned with the short term and not how it will impact long term. We won't be involved in any project without local input and would never condone any jobs that could be performed locally being outsourced.
