The Mecure in southern Sanur has a very quiet huge, tree studded beach front location. Have never stayed there, but have used the day spa quite a few times, and have always felt it had a very relaxed feel. Has never looked overcrowded. At this end of Sanur, you have some terrific smaller beachfront cafes/restos like Kesumas or Magnolia, and many more There is also a giant park, which the locals frequent for their kite flying, or come down to the waterfront for an afternoon swim.
