It can really depend on where you eat and what activities you do and if you are a shopper. I have 2 kids and they eat as much as adults. We can spend between $200 - $400 a day. depending on what we do. The day we go to safari park or elephan safari it could even be more by the time you eat, pay driver for a day, pay entry to parks, ect etc.
In Bali you can eat cheaply if you want or you can spend as much as eating at restaurants in australia. If you drink beer or soft drinks thats very reasonable but cocktails or wine can be more expensive, so daily budget can really depend on many things.
Our first trip with the kids we did all the tourists things ate at out every night at fairly nice places, used our driver for many full days bought drinks and drinks at our resort at almost australian prices, did heaps of shopping, day spa, and we spent approx $350-$400 a day. In saying I could have done it on $250 a day if I was more careful about what we spent money on.
Hope they have a fab time.
